A Walking Meditation

Walking can be a great way to practice mindfulness and bring peace and focus to your life. Start by finding an area to walk in that is free of distractions and comfortable for you. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths before beginning your walk. As you walk, be aware of how your body feels with each step and focus on the sensation of your feet on the ground or your body's movement. Pay attention to the sights and sounds around you, but without attaching any judgment or opinion to them. Notice the changing colors and smells of the environment as you move through it. When your mind wanders, simply bring it back to the sensation of walking. When you're finished, take a few moments to reflect on your experience and how it made you feel.
